Why I do this work

I started by searching for answers. What I found was a new way to see health.

I was not the woman who hit a wall and finally got answers. There was no clear before and after.

I grew up tired. Foggy. Running at a level I now recognize as well below what is actually possible. But I had nothing to compare it to, so I never questioned it. I just thought that was life. I thought that was me.

Nobody told me otherwise. I looked fine. I went to appointments, got my results, followed recommendations without ever really understanding why. Not because anyone failed me, but because I never knew there was more to ask for.

The shift came when I became a mom. Suddenly I was ravenous for information in a way I had never been before. I wanted to understand, really understand, what it meant to take care of a body. Mine. My kids’. I read obsessively. And somewhere in all of that reading, without fully realizing it, I stopped trusting my body and started fearing food instead. The wellness world had given me anxiety dressed up as health.

It took stepping back from all of it and going back to school to finally find what I had been looking for. Not a plan. Not a protocol. An actual understanding of how the human body works. And when I had that, everything shifted in a way no book or diet had ever made an impact.

I share all of this because I hear versions of it constantly. People who have been fine on paper for years. Those who followed all the advice and still do not feel well. Who never thought to question whether fine was actually good enough.

It is not. And you deserve to know the difference.

That shift is what I now watch happen in the people I work with too.

A client of mine came in exhausted and bloated, assuming that was just her baseline. She started feeling better a few months later — clear headed, energized, light in her body. And then almost immediately after, she experienced a stressful life event. Some old habits crept back in and she started slipping. But here is what she told me: “Now I know what GOOD feels like, so I can actually tell when I am off, and know what to do to get back.”

That moment stuck with me. Because this is the whole point: fine is not real health. Just because you do not have a diagnosis does not mean you are anywhere close to your potential. Learning what helps your body feel its best and using that as an internal compass is a lifelong skill. Once you have felt what true health feels like, you cannot mistake fine for optimal again.

That is why I help you untangle hormones, gut health, and energy by focusing on small, foundational shifts and simple experiments. Because this helps you notice what your body responds to without turning health into another full-time job. And ultimately, good becomes your new normal, not the exception.

My Background

I’ve built my work at the intersection of science and real life

My goal is always to translate complex research into tools people can actually use. My approach blends academic training, advanced certifications, and real-world application to help people move beyond “just getting by.”

I hold a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health and am a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTA). To go deeper into the foundations that most often drive energy and resilience, I’ve also received additional certifications:

  • Certified Digestive Healing Practitioner through the Institute of Restorative Health
  • Certified Hormone Optimization Practitioner through the Institute of Restorative Health
  • Certified Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist with Fundamenta Wellness Institute
  • RESTART® Instructor Certification, guiding people through simple, whole-food, and foundational holistic health education.
  • Currently completing requirements for the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential.

Alongside this, I use functional testing when it’s appropriate, such as stool tests for gut health, hormone panels, blood chemistry, and nutrient evaluations. These tools help connect the dots when symptoms feel confusing or when standard labs miss what’s really going on.

Each certification gave me a deeper lens into how the body communicates through symptoms. But the real value of all this training is that it allows me to translate what feels overwhelming into something simple, practical, and sustainable for you.

Some things that are important to me:

My Little crew

I’m a mom of three, which means I understand how chaotic and full life can be—and why health has to be doable, not another stressor. They’re my greatest priority, and also the biggest reminder of why this work matters. Because when you’re pulled in a dozen directions at once, you can’t put your wellbeing at the bottom of the list and expect to feel present, patient, or even yourself.
Health doesn’t need to look perfect. It needs to fit into the real, messy, beautiful rhythm of life. That’s the lens I bring into everything I share.

Curiosity

Give me a stack of books, a mug of coffee, a soft blanket and a quiet corner, and I’m happy. But mostly because they give me space to think. I believe curiosity should be a lifelong habit. Asking questions, looking closer, and challenging what doesn’t quite make sense keeps us growing. The moment we stop being curious, we stop really seeing. Intellectual stimulation isn’t a phase; it’s how we stay connected—to ourselves, to science, and to the world around us.

Self care

I believe self-care isn’t selfish. It’s the ground we stand on. For a long time, I thought taking time for myself was indulgent…now I see it as essential. Caring for others starts with caring for myself, and I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that guilt has no place in that equation. For me, self-care looks like simple, grounding things: a walk outside, time in the sauna, cooking a meal I enjoy, or just finding a moment of quiet. They’re small practices, but they’re what keep me steady enough to show up for everything else that matters.

My community (you)

You’re the reason I do this work. I care deeply about helping people feel seen, heard, and confident in understanding their own bodies. No one should feel dismissed, rushed, or left guessing about their health. Over the years, I’ve realized that this work isn’t just about food or lab results—it’s about rebuilding trust. Trust in your body, your instincts, and your ability to make sense of what it’s telling you. When you start to understand the why behind how you feel, everything shifts. You move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling grounded, informed, and capable of taking real action.

Health is Bigger Than Just Science.

It’s about feeling equipped, not dismissed.

I don’t believe health should live only in research papers or doctors’ offices.

To me, it’s about something much bigger

Better health doesn’t come from piling on more rules or pressure. It comes from understanding the signals your body is already giving you.

It’s about helping people gain the tools, knowledge, and confidence to advocate for themselves. Where trusting your body isn’t radical, and feeling brushed aside isn’t the norm.

Because the truth is, health shows up in the everyday. In how you move through your mornings, how you love your people, and how you show up in the moments that matter.
